In-N-Out Burger started by Harry Snyder in Baldwin Park, California, in 1948. It is known for its made-to-order hamburgers. In-N-Out Burger is a private, family-run, nonfranchies company.  Harry Snyder developed the idea of a drive-thru. He opened California's first drive-thru restaurant with his wife Esther. Harry Snyder oversaw In-N-Out Burger until 1976, when he passed away from cancer. Esther Lavelle Snyder died on August 4, 2006. She is survived by her only grandchild, Lynsi Martinez. Esther and Harry Snyder had two sons: Harry Guy and Richard Snyder.
